The article contains original research for the Polish economy. The coronavirus pandemic have various economic, social and political consequences. They are of a long-term and short-term nature. Not all effects have been identified and assessed. The article presents selected problems and effects of the COVID-19 pandemic that appeared in the Polish economy.
