Publication Ethics
The Editorial Board of the journal “European Journal of Management and Social Science” strictly follows all guidelines and recommendations issued by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
There are the critical principles of publication ethics that editors, reviewers, and authors of the Journal “European Journal of Management and Social Science” should follow.
1. Plagiarism policy
Journal "European Journal of Management and Social Science" considers only original articles that have not been published (in whole or part) and are not considered in other journals.
Today plagiarism is a significant problem in modern science. Accordingly, the journal editorial board declares the inadmissibility of using someone's other work without confirmation of authorship or providing relevant references in the materials submitted for consideration.
The editors use the Rapidus Antyplagiat to detect plagiarism.
If plagiarism is detected in the submitted materials or information about dishonesty is received, the editorial board will investigate a case. It applies to both published and non-published materials.
The editors follow the schemes proposed by COPE. First, the editors seek clarification from the authors of such materials. Then, in the conditions of confirmation of plagiarism facts and dishonest behavior, the authors may be refused to consider the submitted materials. In addition, the editors may deny authors the right to offer other articles and notify their employer of the need for an internal investigation.
In cases of plagiarism, the authors are liable. The journal "European Journal of Management and Social Science" editorial board supports authors whose copyrights have been violated and who have become victims of plagiarism.
2. Open Access Policy
The scientific journal "European Journal of Management and Social Science" is an open-access journal. All content is freely available without charge to the users or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles or use them for any other lawful purpose without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. It is to the BOAI (Budapest Open Access Initiative) definition of open access.
3. Copyright and Licensing
Authors who submit articles for publication will ensure that the materials do not infringe any copyrights of other authors or organizations and will indemnify the publisher for any violation of such a guarantee.
The journal is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International CC-BY, which allows users to copy and distribute the material in any medium or remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose in terms of attribution. Under the following terms: users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. They may do so reasonably but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses them or their use.
In all cases of using journal materials, it is mandatory to have a bibliographic link to an article or hyperlink to its electronic copy on the journal's official website.
4. Editorial responsibilities:
4.1. All editors are responsible for maintaining the published material quality, freedom of expression, and academic honesty. Therefore, editors should constantly improve the journal, keep faithful to the principles of scientific honesty, and prevent commercial interests from compromising intellectual and ethical standards.
4.2. Editors should strive to meet the needs of readers and authors. Therefore, all editors must act balanced, objective, and rightly while performing their duties without discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, religious or political beliefs, ethnic or geographical origin of the authors.
4.3. In case of interest conflict, dishonest behavior, or complaints of non-compliance with ethical standards, editors should act according to the scientific community's established procedures and policies. They must allow authors to respond reasonably to complaints or comments. The editors must keep all documentation related to similar complaints and comments.
4.4. Editorial policies can evolve, override and change as necessary to maintain standards of scientific ethics.
5. Responsibilities of reviewers:
5.1. Reviewers should contribute to the decision-making process for publishing materials and improve the journal's scientific quality.
5.2. Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of any information the editor or author provides. It is forbidden to save or copy manuscripts and discuss materials with third parties not authorized by this edition.
5.3. Reviewers should warn the editors about cases of plagiarism, submission of materials repeatedly, etc.
5.4. Reviews should carry out objectively. The reviewer must clearly, and adequately express his views and prevent personal complaints from the author.
5.5. Reviewers should refuse to review in case of a possible interest conflict or non-compliance of the submitted materials with their scientific interests.
6. Responsibilities of the authors:
6.1. The authors must ensure that the submitted materials are original, based on the author's research, and the article is not under consideration in other editions. In addition, they are responsible for the truthfulness of the data provided in the paper and/or enclosed documents.
6.2. Plagiarism in any manifestation (full copying of the other authors' work or partial borrowing of others' works without mention of authorship) is unacceptable and unethical. The authors are responsible for the presence of plagiarism in the materials provided. They are obliged to provide references to the materials of other authors and parts of their articles that have already been published in other editions.
6.3. Authors should report the absence of any possible interest conflicts that may affect the authors or lead to concealment or alteration of data.
6.4. The author must report significant inaccuracies or errors discovered while reviewing the article or even after its publication.
6.5. The authors should promptly elaborate comments on the submitted materials and fully contribute to a faster consideration of the article by the editorial board.
