Dear All,
In June 2024, the Max Weber Institute once again organised Góry Zarządzania – this time in Dobromierz – with the central theme focused on knowledge management and social innovation. The Institute also began work on the Development Strategy for the Municipality of Międzybórz and, as every year, prepared Reports on the State of the Municipalities of Szczawno-Zdrój, Dobromierz, and Czarny Bór.
The times we live in are not only demanding and increasingly uncertain, but also times in which human relationships are increasingly based on mutual respect. Relativism, the pursuit of advantage, and the drive to possess ever more cause genuine bonds to fade, while individuals without scruples, self-absorbed, and devoted to the principles of hedonism come to the forefront.
It is becoming harder to marvel at beauty, truth, and goodness. However, the written word seems to remain a stronghold; therefore, let us read, write, and create a world alternative to the one outside our window.
